He pursued his undergraduate studies at Los Andes University Science Faculty in Mérida, Mérida state, where he earned a degree in Chemistry as a graduate from 1969 to 1974. Building upon this foundation, he continued his academic journey by pursuing postgraduate studies at the University of Reading in England from 1979 to 1983. During this period, he dedicated his efforts to advanced research, culminating in the successful completion of his Ph.D. in Chemistry.
