💼 Experience
Ms. Tossoukpe is a Ph.D. researcher in Climate Change and Human Habitat at the Federal University of Technology Minna under the WASCAL program. Her professional background includes extensive experience in spatial analysis, remote sensing, and ecological fieldwork. From 2020 to 2025, she served at the University of Lomé’s Laboratory of Botany and Plant Ecology, assisting undergraduate and master’s students in plant species identification, land cover mapping, and data collection. She also contributed to manuscript reviews for the journal “Écosystèmes et Paysages.” In 2024, she conducted Earth observation research at the University of Würzburg, Germany, focusing on urban pattern analysis and ecosystem services using advanced geospatial tools and the InVEST model. Earlier in her career, she taught Life and Earth Science and Physics in secondary schools and completed English language training at the University of Cape Coast in Ghana. In addition to academia, she has served as a football referee with the Togolese Football Federation since 2014.
🔬 Research Focus
Noreen’s research is centered on the spatio-temporal dynamics of energy, nutritional values, and contaminants in Pacific coral reef fish. By combining ecological and chemical analyses, she aims to better understand how environmental factors influence marine biodiversity and the health of coral reef ecosystems. Her work seeks to contribute to global efforts in marine conservation by identifying the impacts of pollutants on fish populations and developing strategies for sustainable reef management.
