Central University of Rajasthan | India

Varshita Srivastava is a doctoral researcher in molecular parasitology with strong expertise in integrating in-silico drug discovery and experimental validation to address antimalarial drug resistance. Her research focuses on identifying and characterizing novel therapeutic targets in Plasmodium falciparum using proteogenomics, structural modeling, virtual screening, and peptide-based strategies. She has extensive hands-on experience in molecular cloning, recombinant protein expression and purification, and biochemical and enzyme-based assays. Her work also includes routine Plasmodium culture, drug sensitivity testing, IC₅₀ determination, and microscopy-based parasite analysis. She has contributed to multiple peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals covering malaria, dengue, monkeypox, and emerging viral infections. Her research demonstrates a comprehensive end-to-end pipeline from computational prediction to biological validation. She is motivated to advance innovative therapeutic approaches against infectious and parasitic diseases through interdisciplinary research.
