Dr. Dantor is a seasoned researcher at CINVESTAV’s Advanced Studies Research Center in Mérida, specializing in Sea Resources since 1987. With a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the National School of Biological Sciences, he pursued a Master’s in Marine Biology at CINVESTAV and earned a Doctorate in Marine Sciences with Cum Laude honors from the University of Barcelona in 1995. Academic Background:

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the National School of Biological Sciences at the National Polytechnic Institute in Mexico in 1985. Subsequently, I completed my Master’s degree in Marine Biology at the Center for Research and Advanced Studies of the National Polytechnic Institute, Mérida Unit, Mexico, graduating in 1988. I pursued further studies and achieved my Doctorate in Marine Sciences, graduating with honors (“Cum laude”), from the University of Barcelona, Spain, in 1995.

EDUCATION

In terms of academic achievements, Sofiia completed her Bachelor of Biology degree at the National School of Biological Sciences, National Polytechnic Institute, Mexico, in 1985. She furthered her education with a Master’s degree in Marine Biology from the Center for Research and Advanced Studies of the National Polytechnic Institute, Mérida Unit, graduating in 1988. Sofiia attained her Doctorate in Marine Sciences “Cum laude” from the University of Barcelona, Spain, in 1995, marking a significant milestone in her academic journey.

Achievements and Recognitions

I received the Cum Laude award for my doctoral thesis in 1995. In 2014, I was recognized by the Secretariat of Education of Guanajuato, under the Undersecretariat for Educational Development, at the EuroAmerican Educational Complex.

Professional Experience

I served as an Associate Professor at the National School of Biological Sciences from 1981 to 1984. Following that, from 1984 to 1985, I held the position of Instructor Researcher at CINVESTAV.
