Dr. Shuoyang Wei, is a Medical Physicist at the Department of Radiotherapy, Peking Union Medical College Hospital, China. He earned his Ph.D. in Nuclear Science and Technology, specializing in Radiation Protection and Environmental Protection, from Tsinghua University (2018–2023), where he also completed his B.E. in Engineering Physics (2014–2018). His doctoral research, titled Research on the Quality Evaluation and Application Extension of Medical X-ray Imaging, was supervised by Professor Junli Li. Throughout his academic journey, Dr. Wei received numerous honors, including the Comprehensive First-Class Scholarship, Academic Excellence Scholarship, and the Outstanding Graduate Award of Tsinghua University. His research expertise spans radiotherapy treatment planning, radiation protection design, AI-assisted imaging systems, and intelligent radiotherapy applications. He has contributed to developing intelligent assistants using LLaMA3 and RAG techniques based on AAPM reports, and designed semi-supervised learning models for digital radiography image quality control. His innovative work also includes radiation protection designs for ion therapy centers and AI-based dose assessment methods in nuclear medicine therapy. A recipient of the National Natural Science Foundation of China Youth Fund, Dr. Wei has published in leading journals, including Radiation Oncology and the Journal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics.
