Mrs. Kanika Thapliyal is an Assistant Professor at Graphic Era Deemed to be University, where she has over a year of experience teaching courses in statistics, research methodology, and financial accounting. She embarked on her Ph.D. in Finance at Graphic Era in September 2022, with a research focus on Green Banking, Green Finance, and Sustainability. Mrs. Thapliyal earned her M.Com from Delhi University in 2019 and completed her B.Com (Hons) in 2017, both with top grades. During her undergraduate studies, she achieved perfect scores in Financial Management, Management Accounting, and Business Mathematics, and secured the 2nd position in her first year. Her educational journey began with a strong foundation, having completed her 12th grade in Commerce (CBSE, 2014) and 10th grade (CBSE, 2012).

Research and Innovations

Mrs. Kanika Thapliyal has focused her research on Green Banking, Green Finance, and sustainable performance. Her Ph.D. thesis explores how adopting Green Banking practices provides banks with a competitive advantage and improves their overall performance. Her study addresses the environmental harm caused by financing polluting industries and aims to raise awareness among bank employees to integrate green practices into their operations.
