Dr. Parviz Tavakoli-Kolour is a marine scientist with a Ph.D. in Marine and Environmental Science from the University of the Ryukyus, Japan. His research focuses on the physiological responses of corals to environmental changes, with a particular interest in coral reef acclimation and adaptation mechanisms. Dr. Tavakoli-Kolour has extensive field and laboratory experience, including molecular genetics, coral reproduction, and drone-based reef monitoring. He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles on coral ecology and genetics and is actively involved in several scientific communities. Currently, he serves as a Technical Assistant at the Sesoko Station, University of the Ryukyus.
