Prof. Afshin Zarghi is a distinguished scholar in Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, Tehran. With a Pharm.D. and Ph.D. from Tehran University and postdoctoral experience at Justus Liebig University and Alberta University, he has held roles from Assistant Professor to Professor, and currently serves as Vice-Chancellor for Research Affairs. His research focuses on drug design, synthesis of anti-cancer and anti-HIV agents, and drug analysis.
