Mr. Md. Habibur Rahman | Social Sciences | Best Researcher Award

Begum Rokeya University, Rahman | Bangladesh

Mr. Md. Habibur Rahman’s research contributions span governance, public policy, social development, human rights, climate adaptation, gender studies, library science, and conflict analysis, reflecting a diverse interdisciplinary engagement with contemporary socio-political challenges. His published works investigate community policing effectiveness, river water governance, women’s safety, intimate partner violence during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the economic impacts of global conflicts such as the Russia–Ukraine war on Bangladesh. He has significantly contributed to studies on digital language documentation, library culture development, human resource enhancement, and the role of libraries in preserving minority languages. His research further explores disaster management, environmental protection, gender dynamics, and Islamic perspectives on sustainability. His scholarship includes book chapters addressing climate change impacts on Char dwellers, the Rohingya crisis, and adaptive strategies to the COVID-19 pandemic. He has also participated in collaborative studies on food security, nutrition, hygiene behavior, mental health, and public health responses during the pandemic. His extensive involvement as a research assistant, enumerator, reviewer, and translator in national and international projects strengthens the empirical foundation of his work. With numerous peer-reviewed articles, newspaper columns, and conference presentations, his research portfolio demonstrates a strong commitment to evidence-based policymaking, community development, and advancing social science scholarship.
