BIVEK SINGH | Medical Education | Excellence in Research

Dr. BIVEK SINGH |Medical Education| Excellence in Research

Dr at Tongji University, Nepal

Commencing my medical journey in 2009, I have consistently pursued academic excellence while embracing roles that enhance public health and medical education. By 2010, I was already contributing as a volunteer teacher for Bachelor’s students in Public Health and Nursing. This early dedication led me to conceptualize and publish my first book for paramedics, “A Journey into the Human Body,” in 2013, which received acclaim in the USA, Germany, and India. Upon graduating in 2015, I embarked on a dynamic career, serving as an academic coordinator for South Asian Medical Students in India and China, significantly enhancing my educational impact. In 2017, I authored the “Clinical Companion for Paramedics, First Edition,” a pioneering clinical book in Nepal that provided rationales for 3,000 questions, becoming an essential resource for health workers preparing for public service commission exams. In 2019, my commitment to lifelong learning reached new heights as I commenced a Neurology residency on a full scholarship provided by the Chinese government. My journey has been characterized by hard work, discipline, innovation, and creativity, which are the cornerstones of my professional development. My interests extend beyond medical sciences to encompass public health and healthcare services. Over the past 13 years, I have contributed over 12 newspaper articles, participated in six national television interviews, and held leadership roles in three major organizations. I founded the Nepalese Doctors Lounge (NEDOL), the largest social media virtual forum for Nepalese doctors, which attracted 11,200 members within 2.5 years. Demonstrating a commitment to service, I have volunteered during crises such as the swine flu outbreak, the Nepal earthquake, and the COVID-19 pandemic. My passion for research is evident from the publication of more than eight articles in international journals, with six published in 2023 alone. To provide accessible healthcare during the pandemic, I established a health clinic in eastern Nepal offering affordable services and free diabetic screening to the local population.
