I study knowing and learning in formal and informal settings through qualitative research. In my research, I utilize sociocultural perspectives and theories such as the Cultural Historical Activity Theory. My research mainly focuses on the study of the Cognitive Human Factor and Human Element in the maritime domain. My research center (C-HELM) projects aim to understand how implementing Industry 4.0 affects humans and their role in future industries.
