Dr. Andressa Galli is an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Chemistry at the State University of the Center West/UNICENTRO. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree and a Degree in Chemistry from the State University of the Center-West/UNICENTRO (2002). Her academic journey includes a Master’s and Doctorate in Sciences with a concentration in Analytical Chemistry from the SĆ£o Carlos Chemistry Institute/University of SĆ£o Paulo/USP (2005 and 2009), supported by a scholarship from the SĆ£o Paulo State Research Support Foundation/FAPESP.
During her doctoral studies, Dr. Galli conducted research at the Electrochemistry Laboratory of the Department of Chemistry/Faculty of Science and Technology/University of Coimbra, Portugal, focusing on Electroanalytical/Bioelectrochemistry. Her work, under the guidance of Professor Dr. Christopher Ashton Brett, particularly centered around the development of enzymatic biosensors.
Currently, she serves as a professor in Analytical Chemistry at the State University of the Center-West (UNICENTRO). Dr. Galli is an active member of the Board of the Master’s and Doctorate courses in Chemistry at UNICENTRO and a permanent professor at the Postgraduate Program in Applied Chemistry. She has extensive experience in Analytical Chemistry and Environmental Chemistry, specializing in trace analysis using Spectroscopic and Electroanalytical techniques.
In addition to her academic roles, Dr. Andressa Galli has taken on administrative responsibilities as the Coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Chemistry, Doctorate level, at UEL-UEPG-UNICENTRO, between 2019 and 2021. Her research encompasses various areas, including the development of electroanalytical methods for the determination of pesticides, pharmaceuticals, hormones, drugs of abuse, and other species of biological and environmental interest.
As a mother of one, Dr. Galli has also taken maternity leave in 2016.
