Dr. Chirine Benzazah is an Assistant Professor at the Polydisciplinary Faculty of Safi (FPS), Cadi Ayyad University (UCA), Morocco. She holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Electrotechnics and Power Electronics. Dr. Benzazahā€™s academic journey includes a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (2014-2018) from Sultan Moulay Sliman University, specializing in Electrotechnics and Power Electronics, where she worked on hydraulic power conversion. She obtained her Engineer Degree (2009-2012) in Electrical Systems and Telecommunication from Cadi Ayyad University. Additionally, she holds a Technical Academic Studies Degree (2006-2009) in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Computer Science.

Experience

Dr. Benzazah has extensive teaching experience, serving as an Assistant Professor at Cadi Ayyad University (UCA) since 2023, and at the Higher School of Technology of SalĆ© from 2019-2023. She has taught various courses, including Particle Mechanics, Analog Electronics, Semiconductors, Automation, and Linear Control at both undergraduate and Masterā€™s levels. Dr. Benzazah also has a background in industry, with internships at OCP, Siemens, and CIMENT companies, focusing on automation, process control, and electrical grid audits.

Dr. Benzazahā€™s research focuses on optimizing energy conversion systems, particularly in the context of wind and hydraulic power. Her work explores maximum power point tracking (MPPT) strategies and multi-objective optimization for wind turbines and electrical grid connections. She aims to improve the efficiency of renewable energy systems using advanced control techniques like ADRC and genetic algorithms. Her research also investigates the integration of photovoltaic energy and semiconductor technologies into energy systems.
