Sukru Cildir is a Lecturer in International Relations at Kocaeli University, Turkey. He earned his PhD from Lancaster University, UK, with a thesis on Saudi-Iranian oil relations under US hegemony. His academic journey includes an MA in International Relations from Middle East Technical University (METU) and a BA from TOBB ETU, both in Turkey.
