Dr. Yilebes Addisu Damtie is an experienced Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist at One Acre Fund International. With about 10 years of experience in disaster risk management, early warning, livelihoods, food security, and humanitarian interventions, he has worked with various governmental and non-governmental organizations. He holds a PhD in Environment and Development from the University of Gondar and an MSc in Geo-information (GIS & Remote Sensing) from Bahir Dar University. Dr. Yilebes has a strong background in teaching and research, having served as an Assistant Professor and Vice Director at Bahir Dar University. He has published numerous research articles and has been actively involved in various research conferences and workshops. His technical skills include data management and analysis, GIS and remote sensing, and project planning and management. Dr. Yilebes is fluent in Amharic and English and is a member of several professional bodies, including the Ethiopian Red Cross Society and Lake Tana Conservation Association.
