👨‍🏫Professional Profile 🌟

I am Andrea Mayado Colino, a Spanish researcher with a strong background in pharmacy. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from the University of Salamanca in 2006, followed by a Master’s degree and Ph.D. at the Complutense University of Madrid in 2011. My doctoral thesis focused on the involvement of interleukin-1 beta in the preconditioning against neurotoxicity caused by 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) in the rat brain. Throughout my Ph.D., I was awarded a 4-year “Formación de Profesorado Universitario (FPU)” fellowship from the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Sport. Currently, I am a member of the Mastocytosis research team and conduct my research at the Cancer Research Center. I completed my second post-doc at the University of Twente (The Netherlands) in 2018, specializing in early detection of Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma through liquid biopsy. I have actively participated in 18 competitive financing projects and have a prolific scientific production with 41 publications in top-tier international journals in biomedicine and pharmacology. My cumulative Impact Factor exceeds 330 in the last 5 years, and I hold an H index of 19.
