Samira is a Ph.D. candidate in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Cape Town (2021-2024). She earned her M.Sc. in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Universiti Putra Malaysia in 2015 and holds a B.Sc. in Industrial Design from Valiasr College, Tehran. Her foundational studies include a discrete associate degree in Technical Drawing from the University of Applied Science & Technology, Khorasan, Iran (2005). Additionally, Samira has a Postgraduate Diploma in AI & ML from the National Institute of Technology, Warangal, and completed the Oxford AI Programme, reflecting her commitment to bridging engineering with emerging technologies.

As Head of Mechanical Design Engineers at APEC, she managed projects in steel plant design and implemented Safety In Design principles. Her extensive background in production planning includes leading a team at Mashhad Millang Corporation to achieve ISO standards.
