I’m Melkamu Kassaye Mekonen; I graduated with my BSc in Forest and Nature Conservation at Mekelle University in Ethiopia, and the University of Gondar in Ethiopia awarded me a MSc degree in Forest Management and Utilization. Currently, I serve as a researcher and instructor in the department of forestry and climate science at Injibara University, Ethiopia. I bring with me four years of research and five years of education, research, and community-based project experiences in the forestry, environment, and agricultural fields. My aspiration is to pursue a PhD in Forestry, focusing on natural forest optimization and ecological interaction and management of bamboo forest resources, either in China or Ethiopia, in collaboration with supervisors.

Prior to this, he completed his Master’s degree in Business with a focus on Supply Chain Management and Organization Sustainability at the University of Queensland, Australia, spanning from February 2018 to December 2019. As part of his academic journey, he participated in an exchange program at the University of Zurich, Switzerland, during July-August 2019, where he delved into Sustainable Finance and FinTech through the UZH International Summer School. His undergraduate studies include a Bachelor of Business in International Business achieved at the University of Canberra, Australia, from February 2015 to December 2017. WORK EXPERIENCE

In the course of his professional journey, he undertook the role of Warehouse Supervisor Trainee at Star Express Brisbane Branch from October 2018 to June 2019. As part of one of the top five logistics companies operating across China and Australia, he leveraged 20 years of international logistics experience. In this capacity, he collaborated with third-party companies to analyze transportation data and cargo exchange information, demonstrating his proficiency in import and export policies and customs standards between China and Australia. His responsibilities extended to predicting shipments, reviewing pre-shipments, ensuring timely deliveries through the operation of EMS logistics software, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction above 98.7% by tracking shipping order efficiency.

Before his role at Star Express, he contributed to the dynamic marketing efforts at Magic TV Media Platform as a Dynamic Marketing Staff member from April 2018 to September 2018. His responsibilities included managing marketing promotion programs, consulting with local Brisbane retailers, and actively participating in the creation of commercial promotion films, including film editing and post-effects. Additionally, he played a crucial role in assisting retailers with contract details, overseeing platform account operations, and coordinating the implementation of overseas mobile payment functions such as Alipay and WeChat Pay.
