Directly upon graduation, I finished my military service for one year from 1999 to 2000. Then I worked in the hospitality career as a night manager at Flamenco beach resort from May 2000 to January 2002. In February 2002 I started my research career in Tourism and hospitality. I
then adopted an interdisciplinary approach to develop my MSc to highlight the adoption of internal marketing policies within Egyptian hotels. I did my Ph.D. in hotel studies at the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels in Fayoum University in Egypt in 2010. My Ph.D. thesis was entitled ā€˜Emarketing: A study of Egyptian hotel websitesā€™. I was appointed as assistant professor in the same year. I was then impressively well-placed as a ā€˜Consultant of Strategic Planning Unit (SPU)ā€™ to make a significant contribution to tourism education development. With SPU team, Ideveloped the strategic plan for tourism education sector in Egypt; and then with cooperation between SPU and OECD, I joined a team to prepare a report for post-secondary vocational education and training in Egypt (Country Background Report). Academically, I contributed to the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels through teaching courses at all levels including undergraduate, postgraduate, and open learning; supervising MSc and Ph.D. thesis; transferring knowledge to my fellow colleagues. Since 2010 I composed a research teamwork aiming to conduct proactive research on the tourism and hospitality which significantly contributed to the stream of science (15 published articles). Eventually, Furthermore, I am extremely proud of what I have achieved on a university level as a head of the Public Service Center till 2014; and as the head of the Center for evaluating students and exams; and as a team
member to develop the university strategic plan. Since 2012 I used to be a tourism consultant and marketing expert in various projects. In October 2015 I started a consultation trip with Deafah Group for hospitality services in Mecca-KSA to manage and redesign the group management and marketing policies. In 2016 I received the chance with Lincoln University College (LUC) my new experience in Malaysia, I’m teaching for undergraduate, and supervising postgraduate students. Since August 2016 to July 2019 I’m the Dean, Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism, LUC, Malaysia. Since I joined LUC I succeeded with my staff to accomplish the following; 1- Got MQA Full accreditation for MBA- Hospitality management program 2- Developing and got PA for Doctor of philosophy of tourism and hospitality management 3- Developing and got PA for Master of Tourism program (very soon will apply for FA) 4- Developing and got PA for MBA- Hospitality management ā€“ ODL mode 5- Developing and got PA for Diploma of Hotel Management ā€“ ODL mode 6- Co-Founder for Mindlab (Centre of Research Excellence) 7- Developing Bachelor of Hospitality Management- ODL Mode 8- Developing Bachelor of Culinary arts management 9- Renewing FA for Diploma of Hotel and catering
